Cover Your Finish With Clear Protection Against Abrasions

Debris and other potentially hazardous material sitting on the roads you ride along are everywhere, and moreover, they are impossible to avoid. While some think of debris as being unusual and avoidable hazards, the more common abrasive items are rocks on the road, shopping carts in parking lots, and a variety of other defect-causing items.

But whether it is a child scraping their toy against your paint in a parking lot or a rake falling on your hood in the garage, these occurrences not only damage your paint, but decimate your joy in what you drive. No one wants to drive to work or simply joyride around with light scratches, holograms, marring, or anything else - it is not a good look.

This is why we have made available self-healing paint protection films here at our detailing studio! These urethane film coverings, also known as clear bras, are a proactive way to get in front of paint defects long before they occur. This makes it possible for you to put your worry about road and environmental hazards to rest, allowing you to cruise in carefree fashion.

Tullahoma, TN STEK-Certified Clear Bra Installation Team

One of the best parts of having a clear bra installed by our professional team here at TRC Detailing Specialists is the specific brand of paint protection film products we have selected, studied, and worked with for years. STEK Paint Protection Films are not only self-healing, designed to stretch back to their original, flat surface after exposure to an abrasive hazard, they are also hydrophobic and stain-resistant, similar to our ceramic coating packages.

Specializing in a specific paint protection film brand allows TRC Detailing Specialists to hold licenses and certifications in installation, daily maintenance, and replacement of said brand. Our PPF installation team evolves with the STEK Paint Protection Film products available here, making sure each install is up-to-par and providing the automobile it is installed on with the best in paint protection.

Get a comprehensive, abrasion-resistant film installed on your car, truck, or SUV today, and don’t forget to let our paint protection film installation team know if you have any questions regarding our products. Experts are always standing by, ready to better serve your paint protection needs.

Paint Protection Film FAQs - Answered By Industry Experts

  • How long is the curing time for a paint protection film?

This depends on the products used, but the STEK paint protection films we install here at TRC Detailing Specialists take only a few hours to successfully dry. We keep your ride under lock and key during this curing time to ensure that nothing happens prior to you leaving our shop.

  • How is a paint protection film applied to my car?

After our crew measures, fits, and cuts all the necessary pieces to your clear bra, we actually apply the adhesive to your finish first before then applying the film to all applicable areas of your exterior. The adhesive used is completely safe, and in the event we must remove your PPF, it will be easily cleaned from your exterior surfaces.

  • How do I maintain my paint protection film?

Much like our ceramic coating packages, we encourage a professional team of exterior detailing specialists to adequately clean and protect the paint protection film covering your finish. While paint protection films are self-healing, hydrophobic shields against damage, you don’t want to have to prematurely replace them by letting them stay filthy.

  • Can I cover my paint protection film with a ceramic coating?

This is actually encouraged here at TRC Detailing Specialists! By coating your paint protection film, you’re adding additional protection to your paint while doubling up the hydrophobic surface gloss. And because a ceramic coating cannot resist surface defects, the paint protection film beneath it acts as a catch-all against those potential discrepancies.
